During the events of Ralph Breaks the Internet, the racers are adopted by Sergeant Calhoun and Fix-It Felix Jr., whose parenting radically alters their personalities to be more kind. Not counting Vanellope or King Candy, the racers are led by Taffyta Muttonfudge, and act very much like a cliquey biker gang. The racers took this as a reason to shun and oppress Vanellope, and did just that for fifteen years before finally regaining their memories following King Candy's death. According to King Candy, Sugar Rush would be unplugged should Vanellope race because she's a glitch. King Candy locked away the racers' memories and manipulated them into turning against their true leader, Princess Vanellope. Immediately after Sugar Rush was plugged in, and before anyone had played it, the game was hijacked by Turbo, who instilled himself as ruler under the alias, King Candy. Additionally, each racer has his or her own candy motif. The racers all have small jellybean-like noses, four fingers on their hands, and stocky, rounded features to emphasize their childishness.
All of the racers share the same child-like proportions, in which their heads take up a 1:3 ratio of their height, and have large, anime-style eyes. Note: All cutting should be done by an adult.Altogether, there are 15 official racers, although only 11 racers are the main characters of the Sugar Rush franchise. Place the frame on your wagon and attach the wheels with hot glue. Finish off the details of your frame with the number seven candy. Then, take the thick foam rectangle covered in dark brown felt and glue it to the spoiler. Use hot glue to adhere the shipping tube exhaust pipes to the back of the frame. Lay the lighter brown chocolate felt over the frame of the racer and adhere with hot glue.For the larger wheels, stack the pool noodle circles and hot-glue them together, then attach the hubcap to the outside. Create the wheels by hot-gluing the strawberry hubcap to the smaller set of wheels.Decorate the rest of the pool noodle with tape. Form the pool noodles in a circle and secure with tape.Use the paint pen to decorate the larger hubcaps with a design of your choice. Stick the strawberry template design on the smaller hubcap and then decorate with tape.Then, wrap the tubes in cellophane, and then add the tissue paper tassels. Wrap the shipping tubes in white ribbon to make them look like candy and secure with hot glue.Secure with tape and twist ties and then finish it off with pink bows on both sides. Attach the cut-out seven to the front of the pink circle, and then wrap in cellophane. Cut out the number seven from the template and wrap the thick foam circle in pink tissue paper.Attach the dark brown felt to the large thick foam rectangle using hot glue.Decorate the chocolate felt with the craft foam confetti to look like sprinkles.
Cut the light brown felt in a u-shape with wavy edges and then cut dark brown felt with wavy edges to create the appearance of melted chocolate.Using the guide for the racer frame, build the frame with hot glue.Use a craft knife to cut out the frame and hubcaps from the foamboard.Tissue paper tassels in red, orange, and yellow.
